Matt has worked with Pirtek UK since the start of the 2016 season and is involved with helping to promote of the oldest partnerships in British motorsport.

Pirtek has supported the Jordan family since 2004 when it first became involved with experienced racer Mike Jordan in the British GT Championship. As Mike’s son Andrew then embarked on his own racing career, so his own relationship with Pirtek began – with the pair running together as team-mates in the BTCC during the 2008 season.

With Mike having retired from full-time competition, Pirtek stepped up to become title sponsor of Andrew’s racing programme in 2010 – with the Pirtek Racing name appearing on the BTCC grid for the first time.

Running under the Pirtek Racing banner, Andrew secured the championship title in 2013 and has also lifted the Independents’ title on three separate occasions – in 2012, 2013 and 2016.

From 2015 through to 2017, Pirtek would also back teenage racer Jamie Caroline who secured both the Ginetta Junior Championship and British F4 titles in Pirtek Racing colours before heading to America to join the Road to Indy programme.

For 2018, Pirtek Racing focused solely on the BTCC as Andrew returned for a second season with the championship-winning West Surrey Racing team at the wheel of a BMW 125i M Sport.

A solid season saw Andrew win at Knockhill en-route to fifth in the standings and he’ll go into a third run running with support from BMW UK with an all-new car after WSR switched to the BMW 330i M Sport for 2019.

Matt is responsible for producing all of Pirtek’s content relating to the Pirtek Racing programme and also looks after the Pirtek Racing Twitter feed.
