Matt has been involved with Team Geriatric for a number of years as the team has chased success in a range of different rallycross championships.

Team Geriatric is led by experienced racer Tony Lynch, who – since moving into rallycross from stage rallying in 2005 – has firmly established himself as one of the top drivers on the national scene.

Despite being made up entirely of volunteers, Team Geriatric is famed for being one of the most professional teams in the British Rallycross paddock – a fact reflected in a multitude of awards that have been handed to the team through the years.

Tony and the team have secured titles at a number of levels, with success in the National MDA Series, in Stockhatch and in the BMW MINI Class – where he took the title in 2013 and was awarded best promoted team in the British Rallycross Championship.

Tony and Team Geriatric then moved up to the Super National class with a Ford KA and won the British title in 2016 before chasing overall honours with a switch to the BTRDA Rallycross Championship in 2018.

Dominating the Supermodified class, Tony secured class honours and came agonisingly close to taking overall honours as he ended the year second in the main championship standings.

For 2019, following the departure of major sponsor Lucas Oils, Team Geriatric switched to the Retro Rallycross Championship running a MK1 Toyota MR2. The team returns to the series in 2020 and will also run the KA in the BTRDA series.

Matt is responsible for all of the team’s PR and media activities and also designed and managed the team website.
